Be sure to get a case worker with your county.

A good caseworker will help with benefits and programs and help with questions. They will even come to the school for things like IEP (I’ll explain that in a different post).  This is especially helpful during the very young years. There are many financial aid programs to help your child and you as a caretaker (yes, you are a parent, but you are also a caretaker now)
